We are a west coast consulting company that is currently looking for a blended Senior Engineer/Architect to deploy to Irvine, CA on a few phased projects.  Mostly Infra migration to 2010 and some compliance for 2007.  There will be app migration and compliance as well.

 

Ideally we need strong MOSS 2007 and 2010 skills but 2010 is not required.  Strong portal arch, design and implementation skills are key since this is a "trusted advisor" role.  You will also arch and implement production, dev, test and pre-prod environments..

 

from the dev side, some C#, ASP.NET is needed.

Required Elements:

I have an oracle database that I used to connect to via ODBC in SharePoint 2007. I want to try doing the same. BCS MetaMan is cost prohibitive and not an option. Does anyone know of a good example showing how to connect to create a BCS connection to a database either via ODBC or direct client (oracle or otherwise).
