SharePoint Recruiting Candidate Requirements

The annual salary range for this position is $90K - $120K.
As a Senior Consultant, our expectation is that the candidate has consulting experience in addition to extensive experience designing and implementing custom business software solutions using SharePoint and related technologies. The ideal candidate can provide mentorship and training to clients and junior professionals. This includes hands-on delivery knowledge with the SharePoint object model, migration strategies from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007, .NET development and custom web part development.
Responsibilities include:
Participation in projects that develop custom business solutions based on SharePoint. Technical activities will include the design of the overall system architecture, and overseeing the installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of robust Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 farms;
Contributing subject matter expertise to full project lifecycles from inception through deployment, and maintenance thereafter;
Solving business and technical problems which require an intimate knowledge of Microsoft development technologies including MOSS 2007, SharePoint 2003, XML/XSLT, C#.NET, ASP.NET and .NET Framework;
Working independently and in conjunction with a project team;
Customer presentation and demonstrations skills.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of enterprise-scale, complex SharePoint applications;
- Strong Microsoft focused background working with MOSS 2007, SPS 2003 including setup and configuration, site creation, programming, debugging and performance tuning;
- Strong knowledge of other technologies such as XML/XSL/XSD, Web Services, and InfoPath;
- Experience configuring security for SharePoint farms, including IIS and Kerberos for secure multi-tier Intranet, Extranet, and Internet applications;
- The ability to design and implement robust operations solutions for SharePoint backup and disaster recovery;
- Excellent client interaction skills required as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with MOSS 2007 and WSS v3.0, Enterprise Search, Windows Server, SQL Server, Internet Security and Acceleration Server and Virtualization Services, Distributed Farms, Performance Planning, Capacity Planning, Backup/Recovery and Disaster/Recovery, Directory Services such as Active Directory, LDAP services, Server hardware, SAN storage devices and networking security devices, Virtualization such as VMware ESX, Microsoft Virtual Server or Microsoft Hyper-Visor. MS Certification on Office SharePoint 2007 and/or Windows SharePoint Services (WSS).
